I have not sewn in YEARS!!

Well it has been awhile since I have sat down and actually have done any sewing...I have never had my own sewing machine for one..and I bought one last month! wahooo..maybe by the time I have kids I will sorta know how to make something! (with a whole lot of needed help) so I got out the new "blessing" (like fiddler on the roof) and set it up and started my first project. I started with a hand bag sorta of looking thing. it turned out alright but I messed it up way to many times for being such an easy task!

I had a little helper who was super happy to push the reverse button at the end of my seams! And I also totaly stabbed my finger with a pin screamed and flung the pin across the room, because it totaly caught me off guard..opps... it really hurt! but I was ok VERY shortly afterwards!
Well hopefully my next will not look quite like a five year old had sewn it!...

Here is to sewing adventures and getting alot of help!!

a story of jathen and me

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be a witness and example in this little mans life. He will be two in December and I have been watchn him since about five months old at least twice a week on average and about seven and a half hours at a time.
....so for the last 18 months I have watched him aproxiamately 1008 hours of his life so far...(if I figured that correctly)
so a little story from this last week that totaly made my day:

So on thursday when getting him dressed, I looked for a white beater to go under his t-shirt and I could not find one; so I then used a long sleeve black shirt (which i think was actually a pj top) for the under- neath shirt. It had the ribs of a skelton on the tummy and bones down the arms. and as I put it on hime i said" oh the body..without realizing he was paying attention" refering too the bones to form the shape of his body. I then grabed a new long sleeve shirt out of his closet...which had a skull on the middle...I dont really like skulls and normaly I tend to not choose them when dressing him. But it was about 38 degrees out and I wanted long sleeves to keep him warm. I proceeded to put it on him as he looked down after his head went thru the top and was putting his arms thru the holes... and he says " Pirate arr" It was sooo cute..so I said yay a pirate arr"... and I said oh, wait..whats underneath? and I lifted the top shirt so he could see the shirt underneath, and he looks down pointing at his tummy and Said " the body" oh I started to laugh it was so cute. He showed everyone throught the day he was very proud of both the pirate and his body.

My thought on this little; but semi long story... as we go thru day to day activities.. the things you say and do have effect on people. and they are listening to what you say and watching what you do...
We are a living example and someone... no matter how younge or old..are watching and learning from you.

Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatsoever thy HAND FINDETH to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

I am insignifacant, what great news!

What does this mean?
Read Matt. 5:1-3 (Amplified version).

1Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and when He was seated,
His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
3Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied, and [b]spiritually prosperous--
[c]with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation,
regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit
(the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
